General information
Zirconium rods and tubes are made of pure zirconium. Zirconium has a high melting point and a resistance to high temperature, resistance to corrosion, and robustness. Zirconium rods and tubes are used as blanks in other zirconium products.
Zirconium rods and tubes are obtained by rolling, swaging, spinning, drawing and cold-worked techniques. Zirconium rods and tubes have good plasticity and don’t deform easily. To obtain an optimum surface quality, the cold work process is preferred to the drawing process.
